To evaluate the success of the measures, a comprehensive monitoring scheme was developed. Before and after implementing the measures comprehensive surveys of the flora and fauna of the area will be performed. These include: plant species and communities, types of structure and biotopes, breeding and resting bird species, fish, amphibians (e.g. crested newt) and mammal (e.g. beaver, otter) species.
